More than a vineyard, an experience to remember

We are Maurice and Helen Curtis, owners of Every Man & His Dog Vineyard and Federation Chocolate. And together with our daughter Rose and Jax, our much-loved wine dog, we welcome you to our place.

Ten years ago, we set out to create a chocolate factory experience centred around Tasmanian produce, exceptional quality and genuine warm hospitality. A chance meeting with someone working with cacao-growing communities in Papua New Guinea changed the way we thought about chocolate and led us to making it ourselves, from the cacao bean.

Then five years later we fell in love with this tiny vineyard, along with its 40-year-old vines and remarkable story. Merging chocolate and wine made good sense and so began our journey into wine and creating even more experiences centred around quality, genuine hospitality in a beautiful part of Tasmania.

Our vineyard is home to many grape varieties, quite extraordinary on such a small patch. Even more remarkable is that we have Siegerrebe and Ehrenfelser varieties, something you won't find together anywhere else in Australia. At Every Man & His Dog we produce in total around 2,500 bottles of wine each year. You won't see our wines anywhere else other than here. We'd rather share them directly with you amongst the vines and tell you the stories behind them.

We love Tasmania and everything that makes it special, its produce, people and sense of place. We love to bring those things together through wine, chocolate, food and experiences. We are very much a small family business and love the chocolate and wine path our life has now taken.
